Healthcare Now!

Fight for the substitute teachers our students deserve

Every Milwaukee Public Schools student deserves a quality public education in schools with caring, qualified, and committed substitute teachers. However, Milwaukee Public Schools is not showing substitute teachers that they are valued for their commitment to our children.

Currently, MPS substitute teachers working full-time are not given ANY healthcare benefits from the district.

The Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association is fighting for caring, quality, and professional substitute teachers for students in MPS. Offering healthcare to full-time substitute teachers will help MPS attract and retain qualified, caring, and committed educators.

Will you stand with MPS Substitute teachers to secure affordable healthcare for substitute teachers who make teaching their profession?

Call & email your school board representative today!

Please contact your school board director and ask them to support a budget that includes affordable, quality healthcare benefits for substitute teachers in MPS who make teaching their career.
