This year’s MTEA building leader training will help members build strength in schools through an active building committee and by increasing union membership and activism as a team. Come learn how to build union power in your school!
All elected building leaders are highly encouraged to attend one of the training listed below.
Members from each school or Central Office department must register as a team of 3 or more. If your school has not yet completed the building elections, please bring three members from your school who are dedicated to building strength for the 2017-2018 school year.
As a team, please self select which training is best for your school and register for only one of the training listed below.
Beginner Building Leader Training:
This training is ideal for schools who have newer building leader teams who have not yet participated in a MTEA leader training or have not been actively meeting with administration as a building committee on a monthly basis.
Experienced Building Leader Training:
This training is designed for schools who have already participated in an MTEA leader training as a team and have a building committee that already meets with administration on a monthly basis. Teams that participated in the Union Strong Cohort are good candidates for this training.
All sessions are at the MTEA office, with lunch provided. Please RSVP below for your team and state in the registration if child care is needed.
